BAMBOO SENSE

On this assignment, we were required to interpret the picture given and make a list of what I see, I heard and I smell about the picture of a hand made bamboo basket...... The result must be in the form of picture by using the wordle. This is the result of my bamboo sense...

HBP ORIENTATION WEEK

23 till 25 of July was our orientation week and we need to finish our assignment of bamboo sound tool (BST) in order to produce a sound from a hand made bamboo structure. I had give all of my guts to make sure that this assignment is finish on time even the schedule of the week was packed.

The program started at 3.00 pm and we were waiting for the VIP's at E48B. After that, we required to gather at Dataran Merah for the next tentative according to the group divided. We also required to create a group name as well as the trademark and the cheer.

On the next day, we were required to do the bamboo work by the help from the senior.

It is part of the program so that the relationshpio between the seniors are closely related. By attending the program, my bamboo sound tool almost done. The tool I had made can produced 3 difference sound by hitting the difference panel.

On the last day, 25 July, my group and I were finished the bamboo sound tool

Bamboo Sound Tool (BST)

After the submission of previous assignment, the new assignment was straight away be given by En. Wan B and this assignment required us to go outside the class even out from the USM. We need to walk to the place to catch up the 2.00 pm class.

This assignment needed us to do a research about the bamboo and this assignment could be about the life cycle or detail of the bamboo. I had decided to do th life cycle of the bamboo.

Before that, we need to do the 15 minutes sketches by drawing 15 pictures according to the given time. This one was a bit difficult as the times given getting shorter time to time. After the submission of those sketches, all of us was rushing to find the cluster of bamboo as the day getting hotter. After a few minutes, we found a cluster of bamboo. The Dotted and Line

This assignment was given by Ar. En. Najib as 2 pictures around HBP need to be taken and redrawn the pictures by using the dotted and lined technic. These are the drawing of mine.

Me, My Thought and I

For this assignment, we was told that we need to create our own thought about the invention created, PONDOK by thinking on how to help the people from the disaster's prediction on 2012. It is predict that the Penang Island will be sinked as the water level of that island is gradually rises.

My thought is based on the article given 'Pumpkin Flour' and i have to think on how this flour can save the people's life during the disaster. I have been elaborate about the benefit of the flour and I stressed on the vitamins provided by the flour......

WHAT I HEARD

The lecture on 12 July 2010 start at 9 a.m. in the morning was given by En. Wan Burhanudddin is about the studio introduction. Before he go further with his lecture on the studio introduction, he had mentioned about the meaning of Accelerated Program for Excellence (APEX). This is because this university was crowned the APEX status and USM is the first university in Malaysia that was titled the APEX status.

However, APEX in other context means that a programme that is use to increase or to make a better performance in many aspects which is academic, co-curriculum, social, and etc. In order to work on this programme, each student must take full responsibility to make this programme succeed. In other words, its mean that the programme is to produce an excellence graduated student for the future.


For the studio introduction, he come up with three steps which is an intention, an act and a product.



INTENTION ---> ACT ---> PRODUCT


Before something is done, there must be an intention in someone to think of something. The thought must comes from a particular actor or a person.


As well as to work on the thought, an act must be done wisely to make it reality. Anything or any idea cannot be existed if there is no guts to take an action. Soon, the idea will disappear and it is no use to dream on something that cannot be produced. The important things is as the act was taken, it must be done together with the rules that guide something or a project to be successfully done. The rules is important or otherwise the project will be failed and wasted.

By applying these two steps, you will get or produce a perfect product. Plus, the product must be so useful as these steps was taken. After the production, the product must be placed or located somewhere.



3P or also known as people, place and principle must be applied to make a perfect product. For example, FIFA World Cup is a product. This is something to do with 3P. Firstly, in the context of people, it is role by the players. Then, the principle must be applied so that the game can be played. During the games on, there must be a rule to run the game to make it a fair game. Lastly, the product is produced and it must be placed or located in correct place. This World Cup game must be placed in a very big and elegant stadium to make it a perfect product.
